• Provide secretarial support to the Hong Kong (HK) and Southeast Asia (SEA) teams of 15 people, including 4 seniors. Role includes, but is not restricted to:
    • Manage team’s calendars and schedule meetings
    • Answer phone calls, greet visitors, receive and manage mails and couriers
    • Prepare and assist in formatting letters, reports and marketing materials as required
    • Print and bind documents for the team
    • Organize teleconference, video-conference and room booking for meetings
    • Coordinate travel arrangements including visas, transportation and accommodations where applicable
    • Establish, organize and maintain a filing system within the office for company record keeping purposes
    • Enter basic data into Salesforce such as company records and client contact details
    • Prepare monthly expense reports for HK and SEA teams
    • Arrange for IT support where necessary
    • Manage and ensure adequate office and pantry supplies including stationery, drinks and sundry groceries
    • Procure BDA branded stationery and business cards for the whole firm
    • Coordinate with external vendors including couriers, building management office, service contractors, etc.
  • Employee related matters including maintaining personnel records for HK and SEA staff such as annual leaves and MPF as well as preparing documentation for new hires
  • Participate in various ad-hoc projects including organizing conferences and BDA off-sites

BDA Partners is seeking a highly motivated second or third year Associate for its New York office. BDA provides an excellent opportunity to gain an expansive breadth of hands-on experience across sectors focusing on M&A (sell-side and buy-side) and Capital Raising.

The prospective candidate will provide project management and execution support on deals and prepare presentation materials to communicate their ideas and findings to clients. Specific duties will include preparing and overseeing junior resources in financial modeling, valuation analysis, client presentations, and market research. You will be expected to lead client diligence sessions, read definitive agreements and other transaction related documents and represent the firm as a mid-level banker. Role/Responsibilities

  • Work with clients in the Americas region and participate in deal origination and execution of U.S. M&A transactions while supporting execution of international office mandates as appropriate
  • Provide support to senior investment banking professionals in US and internationally to develop marketing leads and ideas to generate new business
  • Define and prepare financial and technical work products based upon analyses for various M&A engagements for public and private companies, including buysides, sellsides, corporate carve-outs, and cross-border M&A situations
  • Coordinate with co-financial advisors, client’s legal counsel and other advisors in developing complex strategic solutions for clients
  • Support negotiations and preparation of key transaction documents including confidentiality agreements, merger agreements, sale leaseback agreements, asset purchase agreements, other ancillary documents and deal marketing materials
  • Conduct due diligence and assess seller’s and target’s business plans, growth prospects and financial performance
  • Perform valuation analysis and apply diverse methodologies, including comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, leveraged buyout analysis, and discounted cash flow analysis
  • Attend meetings with client’s senior client team members
  • Prepare presentation materials for client’s board of directors, and other senior management.
  • Prepare complex financial and strategic work plans, manage available resources, and assign responsibilities

 
Desired Skills and Experience

  •  Minimum of 4 years, or 2 years post MBA, of relevant experience with a top tier boutique, middle market or bulge bracket investment bank – Please submit deal sheet with resume (Corporate Finance/M&A, Restructuring, and Leveraged Finance backgrounds)
  • MBA is preferred but not required
  • Strong quantitative and accounting skills
