BDA advises FIS on sale of Kingstar to Zhongping Capital

Divested Kingstar to Zhongping Capital
2017
BDA is pleased to announce that it was the exclusive financial advisor to FIS, a leading global financial software company, in the company’s transaction to sell its Chinese financial software subsidiary, SunGard Kingstar Data System (China), to Zhongping Capital. Zhongping is a leading alternative asset manager in China with over RMB30bn of assets under management. The transaction was signed Nov. 13 and is anticipated to close in the first quarter of 2018.
Simon Kavanagh, Managing Director, BDA Hong Kong said, “We’re delighted to have advised FIS on this competitive sale process. This is BDA’s fourth fintech transaction in the past 24 months, following on from successful sale processes for Thomson Reuters, VNPT ePay and Sungard. It reaffirms BDA’s position as one of Asia’s leading M&A advisors in the fintech sector, and continues our successful track record advising on MNC carve outs.”
