acquired majority stake of Realys Group in China
2011
Business Development Asia LLC (“BDA”) is pleased to announce that its client, Interior Services Group Plc (“ISG”, LON:ISG), a global fit out, construction and management services company, based in London, UK has completed the acquisition of 85% of Realys Group Limited and its subsidiary (“Realys”). Realys is a design and project management specialist based in Shanghai servicing multinational companies, primarily from Western Europe. The vendors, Benoit Greindl and Eric Goraieb, will remain with the business and retain the remaining 15% of the shares.
Realys has an impressive client list including Porsche, Peugeot, Areva, Arkema, Clariant, Rhodia and Sodexho. Realys is able to deliver substantial projects using its design build skills. During 2009–2010 it delivered the Belgium Pavilion for the Shanghai World Expo.
The acquisition of Realys will allow ISG to:
- Access a complementary client base of predominantly Western European multinational companies and in due course to introduce ISG’s network of offices to these clients;
- Make faster progress in the supply of our services to the manufacturing, distribution and R&D sectors;
- Provide a true design and build turnkey solution;
- Further strengthen its management team with people who have a successful track record across China.
David Lawther, Chief Executive, said:
“The Realys acquisition is part of our continued international expansion and we are delighted to have this capability within ISG. The acquisition will widen our international client base and provide a broader service offering to our clients in China and Hong Kong.”
BDA initiated and introduced the transaction to ISG.
